What to wear for the consultation?Please come in either loose clothing or clothing that is easy to take off so that we can assess the area effectively.

What will I need to bring for the consultation?You may bring in any relevant scans or reports by other medical professionals only if you have it.

What to wear and bring to the Exercise Rehabilitation / Clinical Pilates sessions?Please wear loose or comfortable clothing so that it is easier to perform all the exercises. You may also like to bring a water bottle as the sessions run for an hour.

Can I use my Private Health Fund?All consultations are covered by Health Insurance Providers if you have Ancillary cover with physiotherapy included. Treatment benefits vary depending on your level of cover and specific plan you are on. You can call your Private Health Insurer to find out how much you will receive for the consultations.

Can you do on-the-spot claiming?Yes, private health fund rebates are accessible via electronic claiming, which enables you to claim on the spot from all participating health funds. You can also process your claims by taking your receipt to your nearest health insurance branch, mailing it in or by claiming it on your Health Insurers website or app if available.

Do you need a referral for physiotherapy?All private patients do not need a referral of any kind to claim their private health fund rebate. However, a GP referral is required for these physiotherapy sessions: Any injuries associated with a Workers’ Compensation Claim Any injuries covered as a result of a Motor Vehicle accident Any conditions with a Medicare EPC/CDM program plan and referral Veteran’s Affairs approved clients- with the referral valid for 12 months.

Do you have discounts for Concession Card Holders?We have a discount for Health Care Card holders, pensioners and tertiary students. Please contact our reception for further information on these discounts.

Do you treat Workers Compensation or Motor Vehicle Accidents?Yes, however most sessions are billed privately. Any treatment consultations for Workers Compensation or Motor Vehicle Accident claims are to be paid at the time of consultation and are the responsibility of the claimant to forward to the appropriate parties for reimbursement. The Senior Physiotherapists charge private fees for these consultations so these sessions will have a gap amount however we have physiotherapists available for no gap treatment sessions also. The physiotherapists will liaise with other medical professionals and insurers as required.

Is physiotherapy covered by Medicare?A Medicare rebate is available for a maximum of five services per person each calendar year under the Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly Enhanced Primary Care) for a chronic condition and complex care needs. Your GP can assess eligibility for this service and needs to provide a GP Management Plan and a referral outlining how many sessions are required.

Do you do dry needling?All our physiotherapists have attended courses for dry needling and use it as needed.

Do you do just massage?We use a variety of soft and deep tissue releases as part of our treatment repertoire. We do not provide a session for just massage unless it is clinically required.
